Road Safety Education Pack
Make Roads Safe Hellas (MRSH), have been introducing Road Safety education to schools across Chania, Crete. Prior to our work road safety education was not a standard that schools in the municipality were required to fulfill.
However, now both the Municipality of Chania and the Ministry of Education have approved the use of the EASST Road Safety Education Pack and are supporting its implementation in schools across the city.
In 2016, the Pack was voted by teachers in Chania as the number one initiative introduced in schools. The Education Pack is now also being used to train children via the Hellenic Motor Museum’s road safety programme in Athens.
As of 2018, the education pack has provided road safety training to over 2000 schoolchildren as well as providing information to parents and decision makers on the importance of keeping children safe on the road.
